في بيث نوري الرواية السريانية الجديدة، أحداث تعلن انعكاسات الاوضاع غير الطبيعية التي عاني منها ابناء امتنا في مطلع القرن العشرين. وفي مناطق اشبه ما تكون بمناطق وأحداث اليوم. لا بل اشد ايلاما. في ظروف وبيئة كهذه تعيش يوليا قصة حب ساخن مع شمعون ولكن كيف واين انتهى الحب! هذا هو محور الرواية التي صدرت ضمن سلسلة الثقافة السريانية العدد(19) عن المديرية العامة للثقافة والفنون السريانية في وزارة الثقافة والشباب في اقليم كوردستان-اربيل عام 2011. تأليف الاديب عادل دنو الذي سبق وأن اصدر مجموعتين قصصيتين وعدة كتب اخرى في موضوعات مختلفة. الرواية 269 صفحة من القطع الكبير ومطبوعة بأناقة في مطبعة وزارة الثقافة. هذه دعوة للقراء للدخول الى فضاءات النصوص السريانية ومفرداتها الغنية، عبر متابعة رحلة الأديب الروائية، و التعرف على أدواته الفنية وحسه الإبداعي التي وظفها في اغناء الرواية التي تناولت نموذجاً لعائلة عاشت صراع وبقاء وسط واقع ملتهب، فالأديب هو ابن تلك البيئة، من عمق الالتحام مع قوانين المحنة، يكتب ما يحس، ويرسم صورة صراع ويترجم معاناة هاربة من وجه الصمت ليضعها على أعتاب أحاسيسنا.

إينوما إيليش: أسطورة التكوين البابلية الآشورية يتألف الكتاب من قسمين، أما القسم الأول فيستهله الكاتب بمحاولة في تعريف الأسطورة وأقسامها وسماتها وأصنافها، ثم يعرج إلى البحث في أصل أسطورة التكوين لدى السومريين ومن بعدهم البابليين والآشوريين، متناولاً نصوص ألواحها السبعة بالدراسة والتحليل، كما يتناول القسم الأول لمحة عن إحتفالات رأس السنة الآشورية البابلية "أكيتو" التي كانت ترتّل وتنشد نصوص الأسطورة المذكورة ضمن طقوسها وشعائرها الدينية . أما القسم الثاني من الكتاب فيتضمن ترجمة ضافية لنصوص الألواح السبعة للأسطورة، وقد سعى الكاتب من خلال ترجمته الحفاظ على روح النصوص ومعانيها بمضامينها الدينية الفلسفية وجماليتها الفنية الأدبية وتقديمها بلغة أدبية تليق بمستوى العمل الإبداعي الذي قدمته عبقرية الإنسان الرافديني من خلال الأسطورة الخالدة "إينوما إيليش ... حينما في العُلى". Enuma Elish: The Assyrian-Babylonian Myth of Creation Enuma Elish is the ancient Assyrian-Babylonian creation myth. This book contains a study and translation of the myth into modern Assyrian. The first part of the book provides a definition of the myth, its divisions, features, characteristics and types. It then examines the origin of the myth as configured by the Sumerians and later by the Babylonians and Assyrians. This section also deals with the Assyrian-Babylonian New Year (Akito) celebrations and the texts which were read at the rituals and religious rites that marked the festival. The second section contains a translation of the seven tablets of the myth. The writer has preserved the original contents of the religious philosophy and the beauty of the literature and presented it in a literary form worthy of the creative genius of the ancient Mesopotamians as expressed in the eternal Enuma Elish myth. Note: The contents of this book is entirely in modern Assyrian.

“A Collection of Selected Religious, Universal & Common Proverbs and Quotations” by the late Assyrian author Odisho Bar Shamasha (Deacon, Assyrian) Youkhana Odisho is a compilation of carefully selected and multi-linguistically (Assyrian, English and Arabic) translated clairvoyant proverbs, biblical verses and folk quotes, addressing social, patriotic and religious subjects, from famous philosophers and international authors ~ Akhikar, Aristotle, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, George Bernard Shaw, Mark Twain, Miguel de Cervantes, Khalil Gibran, Buddha, T.S. Author Background Odisho Bar Shamasha Youkhana Odisho was born in 1936 in the Assyrian Village of Zeyouka (Nahla Plain) in Northern Iraq, and received his education in the Province of Kirkuk. Between 1956 and 1967, he was employed by the Iraqi Petroleum Company (“I.P.C.”), during which time he met his wife Gozzeh Youkhana Gabrial Narsai and together they had three sons ~ Nabil, Naeil and Naramsin, and one daughter Nineveh. Seeking new opportunities, the Odisho family relocated to the capital Baghdad in 1968 and remained there until 1990, during which time instability in the country increased and the family sought refuge in Spain, until 1991, the year it made United States its new home. The book, published in 2009 in Chicago (U.S.A.), is printed and copyrighted by ANCI as a part of the organization’s ongoing education programs.
